What ISO 14001 is
ISO 14001 is the international standard for environmental management systems, published by the International Organization for Standardization. A facility earns certification by identifying the environmental impacts of its operations, setting controls and targets to reduce them, and passing audits from an independent certification body, with surveillance audits to keep it.
In plain terms
Certification means a factory has shown an outside auditor that it tracks its materials, energy, water, waste, and emissions, sets targets to reduce them, and can prove it. The certificate covers how the facility operates. It isn’t an eco-label on each individual product.

ISO 14001 certifies a facility’s environmental management system: how it identifies, controls, and reduces its environmental impacts, as audited by an independent certification body. Are Arc Grove finishes low in harmful chemicals?
Our furniture avoids the toxic chemicals common in cheaper furniture materials, which off-gas into the workspace and harm indoor air quality.
